FEU FERN College Joins 53rd CMLI National Convention

FEU-FERN Basic Education Department  joined the 53rd Annual National Convention of Junior Members and Teacher-Advisers  of the Children's Museum and Library, Incorporated (CMLI)  with theme "Ang CMLI at ang Kabataang Filipino: Pinahahalagahan ang Ideyalismo at Kabayanihan ni Rizal" last October 23-27, 2011 at the Teachers Camp, Baguio City.

An estimated number of  delegates at 800 from the different regions of the country,  including our 13 Fernians namely: Gerald Sy, Stephanie Toledo, Christian Delos Santos, Angel Saculo, Ma. Almira Abril, Nikolai Carbonel, Angelo, Arenas, Amani Aguinaldo, Isabelo Mari Feliciano,Harvey Castillo, Nahum Joseph Jacob, Michael John Roncesvalles and Mrs. Nora O. Castada, adviser, participated in  various events such as commission discussions or CDs  which focused on the life and works of  Dr. Jose P. Rizal, workshops on editorial cartooning, feature writing in English and Filipino, dance, musical theater, painting, photography and TV production.
bed2 The election of officers of the CMLI National and Regional Executive Board, Junior Council was also held. Fortunately; Miguel Javier Palana gained the post of councilor of the National Executive  Board, Junior Council  while  Ma. Almira Abril  became the PRO of the Regional Executive Board, Junior Council.
bed3 The Children’s Museum and Library Incorporated is committed in training the youth in the fields of Language and Arts. It also exposes the present generation’s mind to our ever growing diverse culture.

For the past five decades, CMLI has given priority to the development of the social and cultural intellect of teenagers through the use of symposia, seminars, exhibits, talent contests and scholarships.

CMLI has acquired support from the Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), different community groups, corporations, government institutions, local and international NGO’s, individuals, parents and public and private schools around the Philippines.
