FEU Diliman never fails to recognize students for their laudable academic performance. So every trimester, the school makes it a point to give due recognition to the deserving pack who got into the Dean’s List. The awarding took place on March 4, 2011 at the College Lobby, honoring those whose grades made it to the cutoff last 2nd Trimester SY 2010-2011. After the welcoming remarks by Dean Lakan-Asa Bautista, the ceremony began and the awardees were called onstage to receive their certificates. An inspirational speech was also delivered by Ms. Arianne Grace Birog for being the top scholar for the current trimester.

Also part of the program is the unveiling of the School Mascot, headed by Prof. Maribel Ruiz and Dean Lakan-Asa Bautista, and the presenting of the winners who created and named the icon that will represent the school in the entire FEU system. Jo Irylle Evasco and Carl Marx Diaz both came on stage to receive their prizes for creating and naming the mascot, Ferdi, respectively.

FEU Diliman not only gives the limelight to academically excellent and creative students but generally to anyone who makes the school proud. FEU-FERN Crew is one such team that brings glory to the school through dance. Just recently, they won third place at the 2011 Dance to Live Competition held at the Amoranto Sports Complex at Quezon City. The school is one with their victory and duly recognizes their passion for excellence in the field of dance.

Ma'am Ma. Francisca Viado closed the program by encouraging students to take part in the 10 million signature campaign to stop further mining in Palawan. A short presentation on how grave the situation is in that part of our country was showed to the audience to raise awareness on what the cause is all about. Signature sheets were distributed to everyone to help reach the 10 million signatures needed for the petition.
