Testimonies on FEU-FERN COLLEGE as a learning institution

The Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Educational Foundation (FEU-FERN COLLEGE) has been a second home to me for almost three years. I have encountered a lot of successes and failures in the campus from the time I first stepped on its grounds and was officially admitted as of the FERN students in 2003. I walk these grounds without a doubt in my mind that indeed, I am in one of the best schools in Quezon City.
Surrounding FEU-FERN COLLEGE's campus is an idealistic aura of a peaceful environment and I feel safe whenever I am within these grounds. The relatively small population of students enables me to easily memorize the familiar faces of those who share the campus with me. (But I know, after people read this, we will have an increase in population!) The wondrous air of hospitality make sme comfortable in socializing with my teachers and fellow students.
Life in FERN, however, is not at all that easy. Everyday, we are given the responsibility to closely scrutinize our daily lessons and review fro quizzes. We are challenged to say no to idleness because we know that working hard will lead our grades higher than others. Inside our classrooms, we also have healthy competition among those who we clearly know equal our skills. Everyone is busy, especially those who ate active in extracurricular activities. In short, we work a lot. Even though sometimes, we are pressured, we know that it is worth all the effort for in the end we reap rewards and recognition and win certificates and make our parents happy.
Bringing home the bacon is our basketball varsity players’ pride. They have entered various competitions and have won awards. FERN has also inspired many students to discover hidden skills and talents. I am one of those students who, in their own, time discovered their capabilities and gained confidence in performing activities. The teachers never fail to encourage a child whom they know has potentials in his or her work and skills. Oration, declamation, writing, singing, dancing, sports and even leadership; name it, a Fernian is given a chance to excel in it. Many eyes have been opened. Most of them were able to pursue their dreams in College, even more so, in the outside world.
In my years of stay at FERN, I have witnessed its growing pillar of education. Parents, teachers, and students are all united to form this educaton ground of excellence. Every one of them is able to fill their rightful positions with the outmost responsibility and sacrifice to build a better FEU-FERN College; the Directress, Assistant to the Directress, the teachers, the parents, and mostly the students who owe their knowledge to those who have given it to them. Together, FEU-FERN COLLEGE continues to produce excellent leaders of tomorrow.
